Online Tuition
I have always believed that successful students are the confident students. I can offer support and challenge to help motivate and engage students so that they reach their potential. I have nearly 20 years of experience in helping to prepare GCSE and A-Level students for their examinations.
For online tuition to be successful, you will need to have a good internet connection on a computer (not a tablet) with a webcam and ideally a mouse. You will also need to use Teams/Zoom and there is an app that can be downloaded for free. We will also use a screen sharing app such as bitpaper.io to act as a whiteboard as well as the video link. By doing this, we can share worksheets and exam questions simultaneously, just like you would if you were in the same room.
I am happy to offer a no-obligation 20 minute "taster" session for free. After this, one-to-one online tutorials can be arranged. Please note that these are payable 24 hours in advance of the tutorial by bank transfer.
My fees are comparable to other top tutors in the UK. Please contact me to discuss your needs and I will be able to give further clarification. The hourly rate that I charge depends on a number of factors such as the time of day and whether you would like GCSE, Year 12 or Year 13 support.
In addition to the hour tutorial, my fees include all of the preparation time required to ensure that each session is bespoke to the needs of your child.
For the first few hour sessions (at least), I would recommend a parent or guardian to be at home or ideally in the same room.
I cannot make promises about any final exam grades, but I can offer honest advice and feedback to help your child achieve their potential.
We are all busy and unexpected things can pop up. Please give as much notice as possible if you need to cancel a session. I can be flexible (where I have availability) and we can rearrange the session for another time. Please just keep me posted!
